ABC - CUSTOMIZATION EXAMPLES
======================================

This directory contains a sample stylesheet and bundled demonstration images.
New installations select example.custom-style.css in the Custom CSS setting.
Existing sites keep their saved setting. Clear the setting to disable it.

CUSTOM CSS
----------
1. Copy example.custom-style.css outside the ABC directory, for example:
   web/themes/custom/abc-custom.css
2. In Appearance > ABC > Settings > Theme customization > Custom CSS file,
enter /themes/custom/abc-custom.css (relative to Drupal's web root).
3. Rebuild caches for the affected site. In multisite, repeat per site.

You may use another local directory outside ABC. Remote stylesheet URLs
are not supported by this setting. An existing site-specific copy is not
updated when you replace the theme: compare and merge changes yourself.

WHAT IS ACTIVE IN THE EXAMPLE?
------------------------------
Branding and EU Cookie Compliance styling are active.
All customization examples are commented out, including image floats,
slideshow minimum height and sidebar borders. Uncomment only the examples
you need. Media galleries, field separation, block widths and component
spacing are part of the theme and do not depend on this example file.
Responsive rules are grouped at the bottom of the stylesheet.

ICON CUSTOMIZATION
------------------
Prefer Layout settings > Icon colors for social and page icon colors.
The example also documents CSS variables; leave the corresponding settings
blank to use those variables. The theme uses its local SVG sprites.
The Other social network image example hides the normal SVG icon. When using a
personal copy, update its image URL as well. Page icons must be enabled for
page/file icon color rules to have an effect.

IMAGE PATHS
-----------
CSS url(...) paths are resolved relative to the CSS file, not to Drupal's root.
The shipped example uses paths relative to _custom. After moving the
stylesheet, update those paths to the correct image locations.
Keep personal images outside the theme, e.g. /themes/custom/site-assets/.
The default Custom CSS field uses /themes/contrib/abc/; the theme
resolves the shipped example from its actual installation directory.

BUNDLED IMAGES
--------------
sliderimg/ contains sample slideshow images. Set their URLs in theme settings.
ABC background artwork (top-*.png) is in ../images/elements/ and is selected
through Background settings. Gradients, menu backgrounds, dropdown arrows and block-title lines use CSS. The 135 optional PNG logo choices are in logo/.
The default grey SVG is ../logo.svg. To choose an optional logo, disable
Use the default logo and enter its path in Drupal's Logo path field, e.g.
themes/contrib/abc/_custom/logo/blue/a.png. Adjust the theme path as necessary.
Keep customized images outside ABC so theme updates cannot overwrite them.

LANGUAGE LOGOS
--------------
Enable Logo per language, choose SVG or PNG, and provide a local folder such as
/themes/custom/abc-logos. Use LANGCODE_logo.ext, e.g. en_logo.svg or
ro_logo.png. The format must match the selected setting. The normal site logo
is the fallback when the language file is absent; branding must have Logo
enabled.

TEMPLATE OVERRIDES
------------------
Use the subtheme starter in ../examples/ for site-specific Twig changes.

OPTIONAL CONTENT LAYOUTS
-----------------------
Use Content layouts in theme settings for compatible Views page/block displays
and the built-in Aggregator latest-items page when that module is enabled.
Zebra colors are shared by these listings. Empty color fields use defaults;
icon placeholders and pickers preview the selected shipped palette. Custom CSS
may change the actual inherited link color.
