There are several points where users can individually subscribe:
  1. The user registration form (can be removed if you do not want to "pollute" this form)
  2. The user profile form, under the "Email newsletter" category
  3. An "Email newsletter" menu item which redirects users to the user registration form or the subscription form
  4. A block which displays the user registration form or the subscription form
To change subscription settings, go to: Administer > Site configuration > SunMailer > Configure SunMailer > Subscription settings Under Subscribe options, you can choose whether or not to display the subscription form on the user registration page, as well as its position on the registration page and also the default option (or not subscribed) for a newsletter format. Also under Subscribe options, you can control the visibility of the menu item and the block for the newsletter. Sometimes, a request to unsubscribe generates a confirmation email to verify the authenticity of that request. To disable this confirmation process, you can uncheck a box under Unsubscribe options. Additionally, user roles can also be subscribed to sections. To subscribe user roles, go to: Administer > Site configuration > SunMailer > Configure SunMailer > Subscribe by role Any user with those roles will automatically be subscribed to any sections that these role are subscribed to. If the user loses those roles, they will also be unsubscribed from those sections. If role-based subscriptions are used, users should be provided an easy way to remove these user roles in order to unsubscribe.
